“Christianity and Rabbinic Judaism” by Jonas E. Alexis (Part 8)

Standard

Revolutionary activity begins to make sense only when one looks at the root of the theological struggle between the two competing systems: Christianity and Rabbinic Judaism. As we have seen in the first volume, if Jesus was God in the flesh, then by rejecting Jesus , the Talmud rejects reason. Then it was only a matter of time before Rabbinic Judaism began to attack Christ, saying that He was an enemy to the Jewish people. Not only that, He was a sorcerer, a blasphemer, a black magician “who publicly entices many into idolatry,” and for that reason He was not only properly executed, but is burning in hell in boiling excrement. Those who follow Him with His teachings will suffer the same fate…

But false messiahs cannot trump the true Messiah, and when the Bar Kochba was thwarted, once again, the situation brought unwanted consequences.  Jews were “sold into slavery, so many, indeed, that the price of Jewish slaves in the slave market in Hebron sank drastically to a level no greater than that for a horse.”  Incidentally, it was right after the Bar Kochba revolt that Rabbis began to use the word “Edom” to denote Christianity– a word that symbolically means to them that Rabbinic Judaism will be in perpetual conflict with Christianity.  During the Middle Ages, some Jews viewed this as a “cosmic war between the heavenly archangel of Edom and that of Jacob.”  Moreover, this cosmic struggle in some instances was viewed as “a messianic battlefield between the prince of Edom and the prince of Israel.”

Historian Ruth Langer declares the same thing in her recent work Cursing the Christians? She went so far as to say that “every single European Jewish community” in the Middle Ages “adopts the basic form” of the “birkat haminim,” which is “fully a curse of Christians.”  In many countries, this was done explicitly, where in many cases it became a cultural phenomenon among the Jewish…

This hostility toward the Christians and Gentiles is indeed “part of an entire messianic teaching,” spread from many rabbis in the Middle Ages.  This “messianic teaching” has its theological basis in Rabbinic Judaism which is first and foremost a rejection of Jesus Christ as the Messiah.  Moreover, for many rabbis of the same era, “killing the Gentiles is part of the uprooting of evil in messianic time” and the Gentiles who will be saved “are those who convert to Judaism.”  We find this attitude in somehow similar fashion in 1806 France…

Lecturer in history, Maurice Samuel wrote the the 1920s, “We Jews, we the destroyers and will remain the destroyers forever.  Nothing that you [Gentiles] will do will meets our needs and demands.  We will forever destroy because we need a world of our own, a God-world, which is not your nature to build.”  This, of course, is spitting in the face of decent Jews who have nothing to do with Jewish revolutionary movements.  One can say, however, that Maurice’s assessment, whether he likes it or notices it, is drawn from a Talmudic/Rabbinic point of view.  It is so Talmudic that Maurice previously wrote that “Jew and gentile are two worlds, that between you gentiles and us Jews lies a unbridgeable gulf.”  This “unbridgeable gulf” is theological, but for Maurice it is racial.  Jewish revolutionaries, of course, are aware of the great divide, even those who claim to have no religion whatsoever…

It wasn’t antisemitism that led Jews to establish communistic ideas in Hollywood in the 1920s and 1930s…

As intellectual historian Russel Jacoby has cited, “The Jewish contributions to the Left in the United States during the twentieth century ranks the highest of any immigrant of ethnic group… American Jewry has provided socialist organizations and movements with a disproportionate number– sometimes approaching or surpassing a majority– of their leaders, activists, and supporters”…

Hitchens, too, attracted great significance to his heritage when he discovered he was Jewish.  He even declared that he was “jealous” of people like Freud and Marx, largely because they set out to destroy Christianity.  In one sense, one can almost say the same thing with Sam Harris, for we can hear the words of Freud being echoed on the back of Harris’s leaps.  He declares that once mortality is analyzed scientifically,  religious morality will find itself with “astrology, witchcraft, and Greek mythology on the scrap heap.”

In contrast to the Talmudic implications, Christianity declares that all human beings are related to each other, and in the end, a person will either spend eternity with God or separated from God.  After the coming of Christ, God bridged the gap for all mankind to have have fellowship with Him through Jesus Christ.  Therefore, Jews and Gentiles, once they accept Christ as Savior for all mankind, become brothers and sisters and work for a common theme: to proclaim the good news to all other creatures.  Because Talmudic reasoning and implications have kept the Jewish people in spiritual bondage for thousands of years, there have completely missed the central message of God’s good news through His Son Jesus Christ and, as a result, have embraced Jewish revolutionary movements as a substitute.  Once again, arguing from a Talmudic point of view, Samuel stated, “Years of observation and thought have given increasing strength to the belief that we Jews stand apart from you gentiles, that a primal duality breaks the humanity I know into two distinct parts”…

This is Talmudic reasoning that must be repudiated by all decent individuals, including Jews, for it is not only against reason, common sense, and human dignity, it is against the Jews themselves.  Samuel made it clear that his view cannot be supported by any logical consistency…

As Gary Kamyia rightly put it, “In American politics, you can get away with even the most cracked war-mongering as long as you claim to be ‘pro-Israel.’ And the ultimate get-out-of-jail-free card for anything having to do with Israel is the Holocaust.”

To repeat the words of Jewish historian Yuri Slezkine of Princeton, “The modern age is the Jewish Age, and the twentieth century, in particular, is the Jewish Century… Modernization, in other words, is about everyone becoming Jewish.  As we have already seen, one of the subtle ways that people are “becoming Jewish” is when they start pursuing Jewish revolutionary activity and ideology.  The war in Iraq was spearheaded by neoconservatives, which, as we have seen throughout, is a Jewish political and intellectual movement.  The Afghanistan war was spearheaded by neoconservatives.  The Libya war was spearheaded by neoconservatives.
